The Paris Police Department is proud to announce the next Citizens Police Academy start date. Class 2012-5 will begin on Tuesday, September 11 at 6:00 PM at the police station, 2910 Clarksville Street.  Classes are held every Tuesday for 10 weeks from 6 PM to 9 PM.  Topics covered include patrol, criminal investigations, crime scenes, traffic enforcement and crash investigation, auto theft and SWAT.  Many other subtopics are included in the presentations provided by officers and employees of the department.  Students will have a ride-along with patrol and make a trip to the firing range during the academy.  If you have an interest in knowing just what the police department is up to, please join us for a informative 10 weeks.  Applications are available on the city web page, click the police department and on that page click on the citizens police academy tab or contact Officer Curtis Garrett at 903-737-4111 or by e-mail at .
